It’s just so sad
That we only skimmed
the surface of the
blue-green waters of our lives.
Such a pity
That we could only walk
Just on the shallow waterbed
Before our bare feet bled
From the shards of
Our broken hearts
Our broken egos.
A crying shame
That we weren’t grown up enough
To explore each other’s deep ends
Without drowning.
It hurts to think
How we crashed into each other
Time after time cancelling
Each other out.
It’s such a loss
Because you see
There’s so much more
To me and you
And us.
